Arrive 10 Minutes Early

Punctuality and Professionalism Arriving early demonstrates your commitment to your job and respect for the time of your colleagues and guests. Preparation and Organization Early arrival allows you to gather your thoughts, review your tasks, and prepare for a productive shift. Team Collaboration Being early gives you the opportunity to connect with your team members and ensure a smooth handover of duties.

Clocking In and Out Procedures

Arrive on Time Be at your assigned workstation 15 minutes before your shift begins. Clock In Use the designated time clock system to record your arrival time. Clock Out Use the time clock system to record your departure time at the end of your shift. Record Breaks Use the time clock system to record the start and end of all breaks. All employees are required to clock in and out promptly at the beginning and end of their shifts. The time clock system is used to track work hours and ensure accurate payroll calculations. Be sure to record the start and end times of any breaks taken during the workday.

Breaks and Lunch Periods

Break Schedules Employees are allotted scheduled breaks throughout the workday, with designated time slots for morning and afternoon breaks. Lunch Hours A dedicated lunch period is provided for all employees, typically lasting one hour, allowing for a proper break and meal time. Coffee Breaks Employees are encouraged to take short coffee breaks during their shifts, to stay energized and maintain productivity.

Covering Positions During Breaks

Teamwork is Key During break times, it is crucial to ensure that all areas remain covered. Team members should collaborate to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction. Designated Coverage A designated schedule or system for break coverage should be in place. Employees should be familiar with their responsibilities during breaks and the specific areas they cover. Guest Priority Even during breaks, guest service is a priority. Ensure that guests receive prompt and efficient assistance while staff members take their scheduled breaks.

Grooming Standards

Uniform Appearance Wear your uniform neatly and properly at all times. Ensure it is clean, ironed, and free of wrinkles. Your name tag should be visible. Keep your shoes polished and dont forget Name Tag Personal Hygiene Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene. Shower daily and use deodorant. Keep your hair clean and styled appropriately. Avoid strong perfumes or colognes. Practice good oral hygiene.

Reporting Absences

Reporting an Absence If you can't come to work, let your supervisor know as soon as possible. This applies to sickness, family emergencies, or any other reason. Documenting the Reason You'll need to explain why you are absent or late, and this needs to be documented. If you're out for more than one day, you need a doctor's note or other proof of your absence. When reporting an absence or being late, tell your supervisor why you are out, how long you expect to be gone, and how to reach you. Make sure to check in with your supervisor regularly to update them on your situation. If you don't report your absence or tardiness on time, it could lead to disciplinary action, including being fired. It's important to report your absences or tardiness correctly. Make sure your absences or tardiness are documented and communicated properly.

Requesting Time Off

Submit a Written Request Employees must submit a written request for time off. Two Weeks in Advance Requests should be made at least two weeks in advance. Approval Process Approval is subject to operational needs and staffing levels. Provide Contact Information Employees must provide contact information during their absence. Submit to Manager or HR Time off requests can be submitted to the resort manager or HR.

Overtime Policies

Overtime Compensation Overtime work is permitted at the resort when necessary to meet operational needs. Overtime hours are compensated at a time-and-a-half rate. Employees must receive prior approval from their supervisor before working overtime. Overtime hours are tracked and reported to the Human Resources department. Well-being Employees who work overtime must be mindful of their own well-being. Adequate rest and recovery time is important to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Please discuss any overtime concerns or requests with your supervisor.
